The Orders That Never Were

I am here to yet again update you with our long battle for orders. After being told last Tuesday that we would have our orders by the COB on Wednesday (leaving the following Thursday) then being told a signature for mommy's medical clearance was still missing then being told that paper was still sitting on someone's desk in AK almost a month later and that it would be sent on Monday only to find out that mommy was not approved to go to AK. As you can see the last week has been pretty ugly and frustrating. I'm sure you are wondering what this all means now.... it means we are in what is called a holding pattern. Daddy met with people yesterday and we were given the option to challenge the denial. Daddy has taken this option but at the same time agreed to have his information sent through the system to the other locations that can take mommy and have openings for daddy. At this point we don't know what will happen and we could wind up anywhere from Japan to Florida (mommy and daddy are hoping for Colorado Springs now). The holding pattern phrase comes in because they have not changed daddy's report no later than date from 10/15/2007 only we don't have somewhere to report. Daddy tells mommy and I that sometimes this is the weird way the military works... "Hurry up and wait!". Like always I will let everyone know more as we find out.
