Uncle Bill

Sparky: I know it has taken us a little bit to give everyone the update. We wanted to make sure we had the diagnosis, treatments, and make sure Uncle Bill made it home before we put too much more online. Of course life picked up a little here causing a bigger delay. Uncle Bill was released from the hospital late last week. He has an aggressive form of Hodgkin's lymphoma and began his first round of chemotherapy before he was discharged from the hospital. The chemo really kicked his butt and made him very tired. Now that he is home he has a nurse that comes to his house to check on him 1-2 times a week. Uncle Bill has also been given a lot of restrictions like not being able to be out in public and is supposed to stay in a sterile environment. All in all the doctors are hopeful about his prognosis and he will be having chemotherapy every 3 weeks.

Robert: Mommy has been by to see Uncle Bill since he was released and help him clean some as well as taking his dirty laundry. Thankfully Nana took half so mommy only had to bring 3 BIG bags home. Uncle Bill is starting to go stir crazy being stuck in the house after being stuck in the hospital for several weeks. Mommy, daddy & I will go to see him tomorrow night and take him clean clothes. I am excited to go see my uncle this week since I haven't seen him since he came home :-)
