MS Train Ride

Tiger: As you already know if you have been reading this blog for a bit our mommy has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This means that Mommy & Nana try to do as many things as they can to help support MS research & participate in fund raising activities. This year the MD chapter must have received a letter from my brother because they did a funraiser involving trains :-)

Nana, Lisa & Paul had a sleep over the night before because they were going with Mommy & Bobby on the scenic western MD railroad tour to help raise money for MS research. They were all up pretty early to do the long drive... I think mommy said it was about 3 hours to a place called Cumberland.

Once they arrived the rode through a section of the Appalachian Mountains to Frostburg where they all got to have a nice lunch & wander around a bit. Bobby was amazed to see a real train round about. He also took some time to talk to the different people working on the trains. One of the workers was so impressed with Bobby's train knowledge that he gave my brother a piece of coal that helps the steam locomotive run. Mommy was very proud of our little guy for showing his mad train skills & impressing the professional train personnel.

Of course before they knew it it was time to get back on the train & ride through to the original train station where they had boarded for this adventure. This little adventure was "the bestest day ever" for Bobby. He keep talking about when he grows up how he will work on trains & drive them just like the people he met that day. Mommy was very pleased that they were able to do something so cool & exciting for Bobby while helping our the MS Society. Nothing like a win win situation to make your heart all fuzzy :-)
