PA Adventure

Trixie: Bobby & Mommy went on yet another runaway. This time it was to visit a friend of mommy's that she grew up with. Mommy & Ms. Sherry, or as Bobby calls her Ms. Cherry, haven't seen each other in almost 20 years... yeah, our mommy is getting old ;-)

Ms. Sherry invited Mommy & Bobby to her daughter, Mia's, birthday party with the extended invitation for Mommy & Bobby to spend the night since it is a long drive into another state. After making sure Ms. Delania could hold down the home front, mommy jumped at the chance to reconnect with her old friend in person instead of just on Facebook.

Bobby had a blast once he warmed up. At first he was very clingy to mommy &, from what I hear, throwing some major fits blaming daddy for going away & leaving him. Of course once it was pinata time all of those woes went away as Bobby tried his best to beat that candy filled dinosaur. Ironically it took that long for Bobby to even really realize what was going on around him. He became very excited & chatty after seeing the lego cakes. He had to tell everybody how much his daddy loves legos & how bobby enjoys helping his daddy build his "fighting ships".

Once the clown arrived there wasn't a single tear or whine to be heard from my brother. He was mesmerized by Jimbo the clown. He sat with the other kids & giggled at clown jokes as well has the over all clown silliness. Mommy, who has a giant fear of clowns, desperately tried to ignore the fact she was so close to a clown when she was taking pictures. The rest of the time she was waaaaay in the back observing. Before the party was over the clown had made tons of balloon creatures & items. My brother walked away with a snake, hat, banjo, & a microphone. He was super happy.

After all of the craziness they headed back to Ms. Sherry's for a slumber party. Bobby, Mia, & Andy all hit it off & became great friends in such a short time period. That really made Mommy & Ms. Sherry happy. They decided to plan more get togethers for the kids over the remaining year our family is in MD.

When it was time to go home the next day mommy was feeling rather under the weather with tremors & jello legs & she wasn't able to drive home. Ms. Delania came to the rescue for Tiger & I so mommy could wait 1 more day before driving home. In the end Ms. Sherry had to drive Mommy & Bobby home & Mr. Andrew, Ms. Sherry's hubby, picked her up on his way home from work. That crazy man does the 73 minute (without traffic) commute every day & works 10 minutes from our house. We are very lucky that the Clark's were so good to our family & more than willing to help in any way they could. Sometimes we get super lucky & meet the most amazing people :-)
