Daddy turns 32

Bobby: Last week was Daddy's 32nd
birthday. Mommy had her first endoscopy and colonoscopy on the Friday after. That meant mommy was on a liquid diet for 2 days prior. Unfortunately daddy's birthday was one of them. In typical Bermudez Clan fashion we celebrated the weekend before... I mean why have a 1 day celebration with a grumpy mommy when you can have 2 days of fun :-)

I came up with an awesome idea for a present for my daddy this year. I wanted to make him a new body for his rc car/truck collection. Mommy got all bug eyed and made a loud gulp before saying it was a great idea.... I'm guessing that meant mommy had a few reservations about this project. In the end she swill owed her fear and let me make this special present for my daddy :-)

After tons of research and a couple of trips to the hobby shop we were finally ready to make this awesome present. We setup a tarp in the garage on one of the nicer days here, got in craft clothes, grabbed the paint tape and special spray paint for rc bodies then went to town. In the end we had a pretty cool looking 1968 Chevy Camaro shell. Daddy was really excited and absolutely loves it even though mommy was totally focused on the few mistakes. My mommy is such a perfectionist. My daddy even said it looked better that his first attempt to make an rc body. That made me so happy :-)

Daddy put the finishing touches on the car and is thinking about using it as a display model because he loves our present so much and he fears messing it up. I don't care what he does. I'm just so excited that he loves the present :-)

We did some other things to celebrate daddy's birthday but none were as cool or as memorable as my special present to daddy. Happy birthday daddy!
