Car Ride?

Sparky: On Tuesday evening my parents got me ready to go on a car ride. I was sooo excited. I have only been in the new car once before & that was to go to the stinky vets office. Don't get me wrong I get plenty of outside playtime & walks around our house but it isn't the same as the thrill of a car ride to the park. So there I was all happy & excited cruising along on mommy's lap as we drove through the gates of Fort Meade into the rest of the world. My excitement was building & I was day dreaming about all of the cool places my parents might be taking me. Then all of a sudden the car stops. Of course my first thought is how short the car ride was. As I get out of the vehicle my excitement peaks as I smell the fried chicken coming from Popeye's. I couldn't believe we were all going out to eat as a family. I didn't think pups were allowed inside but the fast food joint was all I could see & smell. After a quick christening of the grass & trees we begin to walk the opposite direction. I am so confused... where could we be going? Then it hits me. My new vet's office is right outside base & near Popeye's. Son of a... As I begin to come out of my shocked state I realize I am now trapped in the waiting room of my vet's office. All of the nice vet techs are talking to me & giving me attention, so I decided to show my appreciation by peeing all over their waiting area. Gotcha mommy. I know that will embarrass you especially since you though my bladder was on E. You should know by now that pups have a reserve tank for such occasions. In the long run I am sure I will be happy that my parents forced me to go see the vet. I have a double ear infection, so now I have to take medicine & get ear drops every day. The vet also says that I am developing allergies so I have to take some more medicine & get special baths. Supposedly this will reduce my feet chewing & rubbing my face/nose on the bed, sofa, carpet, etc. Mommy promised me that she would take me to the park this week if daddy gets home at a reasonable time from work just to make up for the horrid charade that was put on to trick me into going to the vet. I guess that will do as an acceptable apology. Well that and the little bits of cream cheese I am getting twice a day :-)
