Aunt Kate Was Here

Sparky: Aunt Kate came over on Monday night & spent the night with all of us. The plan was for mommy & Aunt Kate to take the kids to the pool on Tuesday, but unseasonably cool temps & gray skies kept them home. I was definitely not devastated about this. I LOVE spending time with Aunt Kate. I always chose to forgo my parents bed to curl up with my aunt when she is here.

Anyhoo, mommy wound up working on Monday night so Rayne & Aunt Kate got here later than planned. Aunt Kate did setup a Wii Fit profile. In case you are trying to keep track that makes 6 people now involved in our family fitness challenge. After Rayne went to bed mommy & Aunt Kate stayed up for a little bit hanging out. Once everyone was off to bed I curled up on the couch with Aunt Kate & fell asleep to the sounds of this weeks episode of True Blood.

As I already mentioned things didn't go as planned on Tuesday morning. Everyone stayed in & the adults took the kids to the playground at the top of the hill for some fun. After lunch the girls all played cards & watched Harry Potter while Robert napped. When Robert got up from his nap the sun was shining & it had warmed up so mommy let the kids play in the little pool in the front yard. Mommy & Aunt Kate provided lots of entertainment playing badminton while the kids splashed & giggled their commentary on the event. After a nice dinner it was time for Aunt Kate to go home, but she will be back next week to spend a couple more days with everyone before Rayne heads back to GA.
