The Babies Are Coming!!!

Sparky: Mommy's cousin Kim is expecting her bundle of joy in 5 more weeks. Today was the "family" baby shower. I must admit I have gotten lots of amusement from mommy's stories. First off Kim's email to mommy said that this was the one with the family & it would be at A place on B date at C time. Well mommy took family to mean it was going to be like mommy's baby shower by the family which every one attended so she dragged daddy & Robert with her. Yeeeaahh talk about uncomfortable. When my family got to Auntie Linda's house mommy was informed that it was supposed to be for girls only.... much to mommy's embarrassment. Daddy felt very awkward being the only guy there... well besides Robert. As the baby shower games got under way daddy kinda shrunk into the chair & pretended he wasn't there. After a few minutes of this mommy suggested that daddy take my brother outside to play. Daddy jumped right on it & got some much needed space from the giant estrogen festival. After gifts were opened & the traditional ribbon hat had been donned it was time for food. I hear that the food was really good. Robert decided he had made it long enough past his naptime & started to have a meltdown. Mommy was sad to leave the festivities early but tis the life of a mommy with toddler in tow.

We want to send another round of congratualtions to Kim & Matt on their upcoming fun. Kaylee Grace is due on 8/17/09. She will come into this world surrounded by friends & family that will welcome her with open arms & hearts. She also seems to have made out like a bandit from some of the stuff mommy was telling me. You know our house's feeling on that... Every child &/or pup should be spoiled with love & everything their heart desires provided no one suffers for it :-)
