Moving On

Tiger: Things in our house are slowly returning to normal... well as close to normal as they can get without Sparky here. Everyone still has a hole in their heart that will never be filled. The frequency of tears is starting to recede though. Things are so quiet here & it is effecting all of us. Most times Bobby & I are sticking together like glue. Daddy is kind of withdrawn about it. He has had his share of moments expressing his sadness, but he seems better equipped than mommy to move forward. Mommy has slumped into a depression. She is still doing some tasks but she has pretty much withdrawn from everyone. Mommy has been spending a lot of time with our new neighbor just to be away from our house & all reminders that Sparky is no longer with us. It is hard for mommy to talk to or see friends that knew Sparky because she gets flooded with memories & wants to cry. Don't worry about our mommy. She will bounce back. She just takes longer than daddy to continue on in a normal fashion. Mommy & daddy have discussed stopping the blog. Well let me rephrase that mommy told daddy that she wanted to stop blogging completely or start a brand new blog. Daddy told mommy not to do that especially since the blog helps mommy destress. He feels that we should keep using this blog to commemorate Sparky & how he touched our lives. I hope this helps explain why we have been on an extended hiatus.

As a side note while we were typing this post Bobby came to sit at the computer with us. He noticed mommy's background & listed off everyone in it. He got to Sparky & mommy asked if Bobby missed Sparky. He nodded passionately then said "Sporky bites". *sigh* Out of the mouths of babes. Time to go snuggle with mommy as she cries.
