Greetings & Salutations

Trixie: Hi! My name is Trixie, but you can call me Princess Trixie. I am the newest member to the Bermudez Clan. I am very excited to be here & to have the chance to tell you all about myself.

Let me start by saying I am a Beagle puppy that is about 5-6 months old. I don't remember much about my early days, but I know that someone put me in a box in June & placed me in front of a Petsmart before they opened. Thankfully it didn't get too hot before someone found me. I was soon placed in a foster home through the PGSPCA. Ms. Denni took very good care of me, but she wasn't prepared to have a permanent puppy. Plus her dogs didn't really appreciate my spunky nature. I met my new family 2 weeks ago & I had a great time. I romped with Tiger & chased Bobby around. I even made sure to give the parents some love so they would all fall in love with me. I think I did a good job since less than a week later Ms. Denni brought me to live with them forever.

Once I got here I checked everything out then made myself right at home on the couch. Tiger tells me that this used to be a big no no, but mommy has gotten better about it as long as there is a blanket over the new furniture. I am very glad she got over that because I love to snuggle & cuddle. I also love to climb but we will come back to that. One of my favorite places in this house is snuggled against the pillow in the corner of the couch. Of course I like it even better when someone sits with me.

Since I am a small pup I get large bursts of energy then crash for several hours. When I am amped up I love to run all over & create mischief; at least that is what my parents call it. I feel that mischief is the wrong word since all I am doing is checking every inch of the house & making sure they aren't hiding food from me. Of course I am new to this whole people food thing so I must taste test everything to make sure it isn't food. I do find that anything wood or hard plastic may not taste fabulous it makes an awesome chew toy. Sure my parents have bought me tons of "real" chew toys but I feel that in order to establish my independence I must seek out my own stuff to play with. Besides that is so much more fun then pulling some dog toy out of the bin & being a typical dog. In case you didn't notice earlier I am not a normal dog. I am a princess so I have higher standards.

Of course my parents are super strict about me getting people food. It kinda bothers me but I am a crafty little girl. My parents nearly fainted when they came into the dining room to find me on top of the counter height table eating Bobby's left over dinner. I also have learned how to open the trash can to help myself whenever I want. Of course my new mommy has some sort of super power that tell her when I am up to no good. That silly woman is always right on my tail when I am up to my tricks.

One thing to keep in mind is that I am a puppy, so I may not keep all of my wild habits forever. Plus I may not have discovered all of the tricks I am able to do. Either way I will wait to share anymore with you. Can't let my parents get to much of a head start on my plans ;-)

Yay! Congrats! Chloe was almost a Trixie (or a Dixie). So happy for you all.
