Our Holiday Weekend

Sparky: Our holiday weekend started like many weekends in this house... mommy worked all day & Robert, Tiger, & I were in daddy day care. Things were a little stressed since my parents were throwing a BBQ for some of our family friends on Monday. Any time you have a bunch of things to accomplish & 1 parent is working it always seems that the kids have meltdowns or some crisis that prevents things from getting done. Oh well that is the family life.

Monday morning was filled with lots of excitement. My parents got the last bit of cleaning & organizing done. Then daddy cut Robert's hair (this was daddy's 1st time doing it) while mommy steam cleaned our floors. Tiger & I got to spend lots of time playing out in the yard while the final preparations were completed. By 1 pm people were starting to roll in & everyone hung out in the back yard while daddy cooked food on the grill. Well almost every one... Robert was taking a nap for most of the cookout. Ironically he woke up just in time for food. We had a total of 12 people in our house & no one was cramped. It was amazing! We have never had that any people get together at any of our houses & not be falling all over each other. Everyone was just as impressed with our new home as we are. All in all it was a great afternoon hanging out with friends.

On a side note we have discovered a problem with our new house. Part of the back yard floods when it rains. This wouldn't be too big of an issue if I wasn't such a water hog. As you can imagine we had some pretty muddy pups after the thunderstorms. It wasn't anything too major to worry about. Tiger & I had to be hosed off before we would be allowed inside then we got baths this morning. Until my parents can find a solution to this issue Tiger & I will have to go potty on the leashes while our muddy pond dries up.
