Random Ranting

Sparky: We have been suffering from major allergy issues this week. Every single being in our house has seasonal allergies. Well we think Robert does. The doctor at Bethesda told mommy it isn't allergies because the edges of his nose are NOT blue. OK... I am a dog & even that sounds stupid to me. Wouldn't he be dying if his nose was blue? Doesn't that mean he is seriously oxygen deprived? So mommy is supposed to continue spraying saline in Robert's nose to help his congestion. We have also taken Ms. Delania's suggestion of using the humidifier &/or vaporizer (I have no clue which one it actually is) at night when my brother goes to sleep. We were hoping the rain that came in Wednesday would help but instead we got a visual on how bad the pollen count has been. I have never seen yellow puddles that I didn't create. It was really creepy. Instead of the rain washing away the pollen it just left crusty clumps of pollen as things have started to dry. I don't get it...

Lately Robert has become obsessed with doing the opposite of what my parents say. I know this is a typical kid thing but it is still weird to watch. Tiger & I get in trouble when we don't listen but for some reason Robert is different. He sits when he is told to stand, he rides his horse backwards, he throws things when my parents ask him to "give it to me", he will try to sleep on the floor but scream when put in his crib, etc. It looks like he has mommy AND daddy's stubbornness. I'm glad I don't have to deal with it & can run away when he throws fits. I feel sorry for my parent though.

Next I would like to address the importance of avoiding crazy people. I don't mean the harmless guy that sits in the corner talking to bugs... well you might want to stay away from him too. I am referring to the bat poop crazy wackos like our neighbor. She was outside at 10 pm yelling at people. She was holding her baby & proceeded to charge down the hill to get in these people's faces because they were making her dog bark. Keep in mind her dog had been outside on a tie out for over an hour at this point & these people were in their own yard. She proceeded to take her dog off the tie out & let it run away. While she was doing this she was yelling at the guys about how her dog was going to attack them & how they would go to jail. hmmm last time I checked a dog bite victim doesn't go to jail. It doesn't matter because her dog is an overgrown puppy that wouldn't hurt a fly. Thankfully Ms. Delania was outside & got the dog to come to her yard. This nut case is the same person that a day earlier was flipping out on mommy (in the middle of the PX) wanting to know why she has to do things other people's way. By this I mean medical advice & military policy. Some things have to happen a certain way because we are military families. That means they tell us what to do because they pay for our lives, employ our spouses, & allow us to have a safe lifestyle. None of this is a new concept. She has been a military spouse just as long as mommy has so she knows this stuff. Either way why would you refuse to do something someone in authority says. She is older than my mommy so it isn't like she is a rebellious teen. I think for a while we will not answer the phone or door & count our lucky stars when we move later this month.

I would like to leave you with one parting rant... Why does mommy get mad when Tiger & I play on her bed after she makes it? It pretty much looks the same when we are done. OK... maybe not but we were having fun. Come on mom... don't you get it... a pup needs to be a pup & have fun :-)
