Air Show 2010

Robert: Friday was the best day ever!! Uncle Paul spent the night before & joined us on our journey to Andrews Air force Base Friday morning. We got to go to the military only preview of this weekends big air show. Since none of have officially gone to an air show before we weren't totally sure what to expect. Either way we were all excited to just sit & watch plane stunts.

Once we got there & parked we trekked on down to the security check in. These guys were no joke. They weren't allowing anything inside other than diaper bags & purses clear of all food, drinks, weapons, paraphernalia, & kitchen sinks. We were smart & checked the online list prior to going but based on the giant piles of confiscated items many people weren't as smart. As we cleared security we strolled forward a tiny bit & could see around 1 of the plane hangers. Part of the huge runway had tons of vehicles to be toured. It was awesome!!! I got to "drive" fighter planes, helicopters, really big spy planes & tons of Humvees. It was a total Bobby wonderland & I was overjoyed to be there.

We did bring chairs to sit in to watch the show but I was having way too much fun exploring. We spent maybe 10 minutes in out seats the entire day. The rest of the time was spent checking all of the cool stuff out while stopping to watch the super cool air show right in front of us. Who needs seats :-)

After about 5 hours of all of this excitement we were all ready to head home. Uncle Paul & I passed out before my parents even got on the highway. We were all pooped & came home to relax for the rest of the day. I still say this is one of the best days I have had in my whole existence... you know, all 2.5 years ;-)
