The Daddy Connection

Bobby: We haven't really done a blog post dedicated to all things daddy in quite some time. Today we shall remedy that :-)

First let me bring you back to last Christmas. You may recall mommy & I got daddy a few "gag" gifts. One was a new rubix cube done in all shades of gray. You may think this was totally obnoxious until you take into account that my daddy is color blind. Don't get too upset, remember we said gag gift. One of the other gags revolved around an on going joke between my parents courtesy of red vs. blue. Basically this company makes videos using a video game, the Halo series, & ad libs over the scenes. One is about naming a vehicle. My parents tend to repeat this conversation rather frequently. So when mommy & I found this vehicle as a building block set we couldn't resist getting it for daddy. Little did we know the Pandora box we had opened. That single set has morphed into an obsession AKA hobby. At this moment in time we have roughly 40 sets which are taking over the entertainment area. Don't get me wrong. I think it is super cool. Daddy even lets me help put his sets together. I am very glad daddy shares my love of building blocks. Mommy calls them Legos but she seems to have difficulty understanding that Lego is a brand name. Daddy & I play with Mega Bloks more than actual Legos. Silly mommy.

Since we are running out of space for the Halo vehicles Daddy has revisited his love for gas powered R/C cars. This is such a super cool hobby. Daddy preps his race car then we have some boys time. Sometimes we go out in front of our house to play but most of the time we go over to an empty parking lot & light 'em up! Daddy does donuts, smokes the tires & does all kinds of crazy stunt patterns. I love to chase the car all over. Sometimes I even hop on my tricycle & chase it.

I am having a blast sharing daddy's hobbies with him. In the end all of this is just another reason why I have the greatest daddy in the whole world :-)
