Kindergarten Orientation

Bobby: I can't believe it's been over a week already since this happened. Wow! We really have a lot to share with our bloggy friends, but I will leave that to another post because this one is all about Mommy and I going to my new school for kindergarten orientation.

Trixie: You see that Tiger? The kid is already planning our posts for us.

Tiger: I love posting so I'm cool with that.

Bobby: Sooooo we got to school a little early and we sat in the lounge. I got to look at pictures of all of the teachers. I also got to see a class of first graders returning from story time in the gym. A pretty girl from that class even waved and said "Hi" to me.

Trixie: This would be why the first thing out of mommy's mouth when daddy came home was "OMG! He's already has first graders flirting with him!?!? I'm sooo not ready for this."

Bobby: I have no clue why mommy's all upset. She was just being nice.

Tiger: Did she giggle after she said hi?

Bobby: Yeah. So? She also winked at me and did a little swaying dance when I waved. What's the big deal?

Tiger: Bwahahaha. Yeah she was flirting with you.

Bobby: Whatever. If we are through scrutinizing girls I would like to continue with my post.

Tiger: Go for it. I just think its funny that's all.

Bobby: ........ So once things got started the principal introduced herself and all of the kindergarten teachers. Then they sent all of us kids off to the library with the teachers while the adults listened to boring stuff. While in the library we heard a story about going to school for the first time then we made a picture.

Trixie: Did you tell everyone how you tried to steal my diva crown?

Bobby: What on earth are you talking about? A crown? When did you get one of those? And what's a deeeeva?

Trixie: Really!?!? First of all it's a figure of speech. Second I was referring to your tantrum over the letter B.

Bobby: It wasn't a tantrum!

Trixie: Really? So you don't consider telling mommy you don't want to go to school ever again because you can't draw a perfect capital B a tantrum?

Bobby: I don't want to talk about it!

Tiger: It's ok lil buddy. Like mommy told you school is the place that will teach you how to do it even better. School is all about learning. If we all already knew everything the world would be a boring place. Plus you know mommy and daddy were so proud of your writing. That should matter.

Bobby: It does matter. I was just embarrassed. I wanted it to be perfect when I gave it to mommy. Any way we should find out in April which track I am in but no matter what I will be starting school in July. Soooo we shall keep you posted :-)

Trixie: What?!? That's it!?!? You aren't going to tell them all of the stuff that blew mommy's mind? You know like by the end of kindergarten you will be able to read and write plus you will have written your first opinion report.... Or how you will learn how to count by 1s, 2s, 3s, 5s, and 10s plus learn basic math skills.... Or how you will be doing science projects like making paper. What about those things?

Bobby: Well it looks like you just did it for me. Thanks Trixie!! :-)
