Oh the Merriment- Flashback Friday

Bobby: When Daddy came home from Korea I was so happy. We had a long list of things we wanted to do with Daddy before leaving MD.

Tiger: We were all very happy to have Daddy back.

Trixie: Yes we were.

Bobby: Anyhoo my two favorite things were having dinner at the big castle near base and the other was spending the day at the Renn Fest with my parents and my friends.

Trixie: Anyone else notice these are both not pet friendly affairs?

Tiger: Well you don't have the best table manners Trixie.

Trixie: Really? It's all my fault huh? I highly doubt you could refrain from chasing horses at both of these events.

Bobby: Hey did anyone else notice this post title says merriment not bitter puppy feuding? As I was saying we spent the whole day at the festival with my friends. We ran thru mazes, found jewels, dressed up in costumes, played in a giant pirates ship, ate awesome food on a stick plus watched a few goofy shows. It was a great day spent with great people.

Trixie: I would like to point out that none of this yummy food on a stick was brought home to us.

Bobby: Ummm that's because you would've eaten the stick too and had to go to the vet for emergency surgery.

Trixie: What!?!? I'm a lady. I would do no such thing!

Tiger: Bwahahaha. If you are a lady then I'm a circus monkey.

Bobby: Trixie you know you would've eaten it stick and all. Keep lying to yourself, silly girl. Soooo can I get back to my story now?

Trixie: FINE!!! Tell your precious story about how much fun you got to have with mommy and daddy while we had to stay home.

Bobby: The next night we got to have dinner at the giant castle. They had cool kids cups shaped like knights helmets and I got to meet a real knight! Mommy asked if we could sit in the green section. This meant our crowns and little banner flags were green... My favorite color! We had an awesome meal that we were actually supposed to eat with no silverware. Even the soup came in a bowl with a handle! How cool is that!?!?

Trixie: Handles and silverware are overrated. They are only for those with opposable thumbs.

Tiger: Hurry up and get to the part about the dancing horses and the justing!!!

Bobby: Silly boy it's called jousting not justing.

Tiger: Ok, ok. Jousting. Can you pleeeeeease get to the best parts of the story now? You know the horses and the rough housing.

Bobby: Well since it will make you happy Tiger. While we were eating a magician guy came out and made these pretty white horses dance. Then we met all of the knights on horseback. There was one for each town. As I said our town was the green town so our dashing knight wore green! All of the knights fought for the the princess' hand... I don't know why anyone would want a girls' hand but the fighting was pretty cool. They used long jousting sticks, swords, big spiked balls on chains and shields. It was very hard to eat with all of this excitement going on! In the end I found time to eat some of my food and I got to bring a bunch of goodies home. I even got to get a picture with the green knight! Now I really want to be a green knight when I grow up :-)
