Robert: We have had a very busy week. Mommy had her 31st birthday on the 15th. As we usually do when things fall on the weekend, we celebrated during the week. That means a lot of meals out of the house since it is easiest for everyone to just meet up & have a meal together, but I am getting ahead of myself. Here is the breakdown of our week:
Monday -> We picked up Aunt Kate early in the day then ran some errands. Mommy had an afternoon doctor's appointment so I got to stay home with Aunt Kate. Mommy's appointment took so long that daddy beat her home. Our plan was to have steak on the grill for dinner but daddy noticed we didn't have any charcoal. This was a perfect opportunity for mommy to show daddy the dinning room table she wanted from the PX. AS a result we left the PX with a bag of charcoal & a dinning room table... a 1st for my family. Our evening revolved around daddy assembling the new table while mommy & Aunt Kate straightened up the house & played with me. I had a lot of fun :-)
Tuesday -> Mommy & I ran some more errands then met up with Aunt Kate for a quick lunch. Aunt Kate was out job hunting in the same area we were doing our errands in. After lunch it was a pretty typical afternoon featuring mommy cleaning while I was napping then I got up & played with Sparky & Tiger until daddy came home. Once daddy was home I played with him while mommy took a quick nap. That night we had our first dinner at the dining room table as a family. I really enjoyed eating with my parents. Since our new table is a "counter height" dining room table it meant that the dogs weren't able to be in our faces while we were eating.
Wednesday -> More errands then off to meat Great Grandma for lunch. We had a nice lunch. My great grandma was very impressed with how much I have grown & all of my current toddler skills. After lunch it was nap time then we started to get ready for the big family birthday dinner with Nana. We met everyone at my parent's favorite Japanese Steakhouse for mommy's official birthday dinner. I haven't been here since I was 7 months old & I had no idea what I was missing. They have this guy that comes out & cooks your dinner right on your table. I was very excited & entertained. Of course there were a few issues when I tried to imitate our chef & threw some food at the grill. Don't worry nothing too bad happened except my parents took my food & utensils away until the "show" was over. After a very big meal & good company it was off to bed.
Thursday -> More errands but we picked Aunt Kate up first & had breakfast. We stopped at EB Games so mommy could get a jump start on her Christmas shopping... yeah mommy is trying to be supper efficient this year. After pre-ordering some presents we went off to Nissan to get some work done on our car. Thankfully they have a separate kids waiting room with lots of toys. Mommy & Aunt Kate played games with me while we waited for the Rogue to get finished. Once it was ready it was a little passed my lunch time so I was grumpy. After another nice lunch at the dining room table then I went off to take a nap. Mommy & Aunt Kate took my nap time off from chores & played some games while I was sleeping. After daddy got home & I was up from my nap I got to stay home with Aunt Kate while my parents had an appoinment to go to. I was very good my aunt & I had a lot of fun playing wiht her :-)
Friday (today) -> Thankfully we have a pretty low key day planned today. Mommy & I are doing laundry. Stop laughing at me... I really do help. Mommy wouldn't be able to close the dryer door with out my little man muscles. As the laundry is being cleaned I get to play with mommy & the dogs until lunch time. We are anxiously awaiting a call from Aunt Kate to see how her job interview goes. I am also trying to be patient until daddy comes home. Daddy is on vacation next week so I get to spend the whole week with both of my parent. I am soooooo excited! Mommy says we have some cool things planned but won't elaborate. I guess this is one of those lessons in patience I keep hearing about. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I know I will :-)
