Tiger: Today we are going to have story time. This is a story that seems to never die with mommy's family. Everyone grab a snack, sippy cup & a blankie so we can get started...
A long, long time ago (1989) a young boy, age 8, had a treasured plate depicting his video game hero. His older sister, age 11, could have cared less about this item but it always would shut her irritating little brother up. One afternoon when the little boy was pestering his sister for a snack. The sister complained to her friend on the telephone about how irritating her brother was then asked the friend to hold while she got the "brat" a snack. The siblings wandered into the kitchen to find a snack. The boy asked for a moon pie but wanted it warm. The sister grabbed the treasured Legend of Zelda plate & put a moon pie on it. She then glanced at the instruction for heating up the moon pie... Microwave blah, blah, blah 10 blah, blah, blah (gotta love the attention span of preteen girls). The plate & the moon pie got put in the microwave & the sister set the timer for 10 minutes then went back to her phone call. Suddenly the smoke alarm started going off & the little brother came barging into the sister's room screaming about a fire. All the sister could think of was how much trouble she was going to get into. She quickly hung up on her friend then raced into the kitchen. The microwave timer still had 6 minutes to go but inside was a burnt looking piece of charcoal sitting on the bubbling plastic plate. As the sister cursed & pulled the plate out of the microwave the boy screamed in horror at the melted Zelda plate. He screamed at his sister for ruining his plate then stormed off to call their mom at work.
Needless to say the Zelda plate was no more & as you probably guessed this story was about mommy & Uncle Bill. To this day Uncle Bill still accuses mommy of destroying this plate intentionally. To make matters worse when mommy went to do a google search to obtain a picture she got a giant shock. The picture that you see above (which is the exact plate) was attached to a story about this exact same plate selling on eBay for $15,000! Are you kidding me?!?! SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!? Now we will never hear the end of this *sigh*
