Meatball Mayhem

Tiger: The other night mommy decided to make meatballs from scratch for the first time ever. After careful research for the right recipe mommy was ready to go. Meanwhile all day Robert was being picky about his food. He would throw his breakfast & lunch off his tray for Sparky & I then he would run to the pantry for the box of cheez its. When mommy started to make dinner Robert was requesting a snack. Mommy informed him that it was too close to dinner for a snack so he would have to wait. Bobby didn't like this idea 1 little bit. He sat with his toy at the edge of the kitchen watching mommy. Once the meatballs were in he oven & mommy turned her back Bobby charged in to take control of the situation. He turned the oven temp from 350 to 500 then innocently started to play with the oven light switch. When mommy turned around she grabbed Bobby & proceeded to tell him not to touch the oven because it is hot. A satisfied Bobby toddled off to play with daddy while mommy continued to work on dinner. When mommy went to check on the meatballs 7 minutes before they should be done she got a very big shock... they were overdone. Mommy raced to get them out of the oven. It was then that she noticed the temperature dial had been changed. A little frustrated & very amused mommy went to inform daddy what must have happened. All in all dinner turned out to be ok. The meatballs were a little dry but everyone ate them anyway. Now my parents are left with this amusing tale of toddler triumph :-)
