Our Budding Chef

Sparky: Last night Robert took a giant step towards being a big boy. He helped mommy make dinner. Don't worry folks mommy was with him the entire time & he wasn't allowed to do anything dangerous.

Mommy had been at work all day & daddy started working on the truck as soon as mommy got home. Our mommy wanted to spend time with Robert but it was almost dinner time. She decided this would be a good time to introduce Robert to cooking. Mommy gave Bobby some options for what they could have for dinner. He was excited about Hamburger Helper so mommy pulled down the 2 boxes for him to choose from. Once that decision was made mommy pulled down some items that could be used to "doctor" the basic bland dinner. Robert gleefully picked a few things to add. Mommy browned the ground beef & added everything to the pot to simmer. Then she let Robert pick what kind of roll everyone would have. Once that decision was made Robert helped mommy get the foil out for the baking sheet & he sprayed the no stick spray on the sheet (mommy did help guide him through this part). With the sheet fully prepared mommy held the bag of rolls open while Robert pulled each roll out & placed them on the sheet. His last decision was which vegetable to have with the meal. Robert grabbed the bag he wanted then mommy opened the microwave for him to place the bag inside (we do frozen veggies in steamer bags). Robert was very proud of all of his big boy decisions & dinner turned out very good. Everyone in our house was super impressed with how well Bobby did. Mommy thinks this may become a frequent occurrence since it went so well & our little brother was so happy to help :-)

***sorry the picture is so crappy. Mommy's i Phone doesn't have the greatest camera & we are still trying to fix the digital camera that died in May. We are almost our of options to fix it so there may be a new camera in the future***
