Music

Sparky: Anyone that knows our mommy knows that music is a very important part of her daily life. Part of it is the hatred of silence & part of it is a hatred of the sound of tv. So when daddy isn't home it is a constant dance party. Robert even gets up & goes to the stereo asking to dance now. We all love spending a day with music because it is a free for all. Tiger & I get to run & bark as much as we want... well as long as mommy isn't on the phone. Robert has taken a great liking to getting his lil groove on, dancing around the house, & singing. This would be why mommy pushed for Bobby to have his DJ set which by the way he loves & makes his own music all of the time. For mommy the music is like oxygen, she needs it to function. I think this is part of the reason why our house gets cleaned so much. It is very hard to sit still when your favorite tunes are filling the house.

A large part of what inspired this post was Bobby's shared love of music, but there is more. Mommy was reading one of her books & the author choose to do a section at the end explaining her writing process. Our mommy is definitely not an aspiring writer or anything like that but she has been a fan of this author for a decade so it was an interesting read. Mommy was pleasantly surprised to see how most of the writing process involved music. Since Laurell K. Hamilton writes 2 (of mommy's favorite) series consisting of several books she mentioned that each character seems to have their own songs & each book has its own play list. The music is a large part of her muse. Mommy knew exactly what she was saying. Mommy's life is filled with play lists & it all depends on her mood & the tasks awaiting us as to what we will be listening to each day :-)
