Christmas #1

Robert: My daddy is a very wise man in case you didn't know. Yeah he may have had an alternate reason for convincing mommy that we should celebrate the holidays over several days but I still think it was a genius idea. Let me back up some. I believe I've gotten ahead of myself due to my high spirits.

Daddy suggested that we have Christmas 2 weekends in a row. This way I wouldn't get so overwhelmed by all of my presents at 1 time. This would also allow me to have time to enjoy my new stuff in spurts instead of being bewildered by a giant pile of gifts. Daddy's other reason for suggesting this was because he was bugging out wanting his new truck.

Mommy agreed to the plan so Friday night I went to bed early & my parents put all of the presents under the tree that were from our little family. They woke me up around 1 AM to open presents. Their reasoning was that they were already up & excited to see me open presents so they wouldn't be able to go to sleep any time soon. Waking me up from a "nap" guaranteed they wouldn't sleep through my discovery of the presents. I was totally ok with getting up. Actually I was overjoyed to discover presents under the tree plus get to open them. We exchanged presents & played for a little bit before all of us went to bed for the night. It was perfect & I can only hope they keep this tradition over the years :-)
