You Can Learn While You Play?

Tiger: Mommy has been taking my brother, Robert, upstairs for part of his daily playtime. This is partly because I like to chew on his toys, but it is also because it gives Robert time to focus on new things. When Sparky & I are rolling around having puppy play time it can be a little too much for Robert. No, we don't hurt him or anything like that. Anyhoo mommy has been working with my brother on filling things & emptying them out. There are tons of toys that teach this & thankfully we own a lot of them. Lately Robert has rekindled his love for his cookie jar from Nana. This cookie jar comes with 5 cookies & each cookie is a different shape & color. The jar has 5 shape appropriate holes around the edge & a lid to cover the big hole on top of the jar. In proper toy fashion it also sings when you put stuff in each hole. Robert has fun filling the jar & dumping it back out. Much to mommy's surprise he has also learned to put the circle in the circle shaped hole on the side & perfectly place the lid on the cookie jar. Robert always amazes us with his zest for learning new things & we are all very proud of our smart little toddler :-)
