Date Night

Sparky: As you know mommy had a rough day on Wed. Thurs she woke up very angry & hurt. After venting her frustration on the blog she decided to turn her bad energy into a positive outlet. She cleaned the hell out of our house. When I say clean I mean mommy cleaned the house. She even scrubbed walls, floors, & doors. Needless to say it didn't look like the same house when daddy came home. Part of the reason mommy was stressing about the house is that daddy doesn't like to clean & that means things got rather messy when mommy had her spinal tap. She has been slowly trying to return our house to normal ever since. Today mommy realized that it was date night & the Miss Casey would be coming over to babysit Robert & I.

Mommy bought tickets to see Carlos Mencia from the TV show Mind of Mencia on his current comedy tour. Daddy was very excited when mommy did this, but alas things change. Mommy had originally suggested daddy take off so he wouldn't work late. When daddy told her he wasn't taking time off he promised mommy he wouldn't be late. Since daddy decided not to listen to mommy & take time off he also had to get up at 4 am to go to the gym (it's an Air Force thing). Mommy was watching the clock all day trying to gage how much time remained until it was time to get ready. She received a call from daddy around 3 pm saying he was going to be late & he hoped to be home by 5 pm... mommy immediately had a panic attack because Miss Casey was arriving at 5 pm. She began to wonder if date night was even going to happen. This is what sent mommy into over drive & caused her to hand scrub the walls, doors, & floors. Daddy walked in 10 minutes before Miss Casey got here. Mommy was very relieved.

After a quick bite my parents were off to the Lyric Opera House in Baltimore City. They made it with some time to spare. Mommy was ready for a stiff drink by the time she arrived since daddy complained about being tired the whole drive there. I know some of you are probably thinking that mommy was being pissy, but remember that daddy chose to do things this way. Once they made it through the line to enter the building mommy decided not to get a drink but got in line to get a picture with Carlos instead. After mommy got to touch & talk to Carlos she became very star stuck & gushed for 15 minutes about how she got to hug him. Daddy just laughed at her. The show was 3 comedians including Carlos. They were all very funny from what I hear. Mommy & daddy had a lot of fun & got home around midnight.

On the home front Robert & I were very good for Miss Casey. Robert did his usual attempt at manipulation when he was told no, but other than that he was cool. I got to play some with Miss Casey & curled up on the couch for some much needed sleep when Robert went to bed. I was still sleepy when my parents came home, so I curled up on mommy's lap as she read while daddy went to bed. My family wants to say thank you 1 more time to Miss Casey for taking care of Robert & I so my parents got some time out of the house :-)
