Venting Frustration

Robert: Mommy & I had a rough day on Wed. The parking situation at Walter Reed was a total nightmare. Mommy, nana & I drove around for an hour looking for a spot with no success. It got so close to mommy's appt time that she had to bail out of the car & let nana continue to look for a spot. I know every one has been awaiting the verdict so here it is... Mommy has been diagnosed with MS. A nurse will be sent out to show mommy how to do her shots every other day. Mommy also needs to have some other tests done. One is a complete cognitive exam which will take 4-5 hours. Apparently mommy "failed" the mini exam yesterday plus Dr. Hegde doesn't think certain other diagnoses are accurate & are actually a part of mommy's MS. Mommy also needs to go through another test to check the neuro paths to her left eye. Her left pupil doesn't respond the same as the right. There is some concern that the headaches mommy had back in April that caused her vision to fail in her left eye may have been an episode of MS. This test will help them figure out what exactly is going on. Well now you know more than daddy does.

When we finally got home around 6 pm mommy had a few minutes to try to eat her lunch (yes I said lunch not dinner) before running out to the grocery store. Daddy had spent all of his time after work on the Xbox 360 & hadn't eaten, so he took half of mommy's sub from her. He didn't want to hear anything about mommy's appt or the diagnosis. All he wanted to do was talk about the new "Xbox experience" stuff he had down loaded while we were out. Since mommy was on a tight schedule she only had enough time to eat & run out the door to the grocery store. Mommy tried to call daddy to talk about the appt as she drove to the grocery store, but he didn't want anything to do with the conversation. Now I know people deal with things differently, but it still hurt mommy to experience his lack of concern & callousness. Mommy brushed it off & figured they would talk when she got back from the store. Mommy called daddy like she always does when she is on her way home & was shocked when she woke him up. After a 2 second phone call mommy looked at the clock & was flabbergasted that he was out cold & asleep at 7:45 pm. Robert doesn't even go to bed until 8:00 pm usually. Mommy arrived home a few minutes later. She had to carry all of the groceries in & put everything away all by herself. This may seem like something mommy is overreacting to, but daddy never helps mommy carry stuff in & always expect mommy to come outside to help him carry bags in when he does any household shopping. I guess you could say this a sore spot between my parents.

Anyhoo... after mommy got everything in the house & put away it was time to return all of the texts & missed calls from people trying to find out how mommy's appt went. After texting almost everyone back mommy called Ms. Delaina for some much needed comfort. Mommy went down to had a beer with the Taylors while answering all of their questions about her appt. After mommy got done down the hill, she was back home by 8:45 pm. Mommy sat down & tried to read a book to distract herself from the day. Unfortunately she was unsuccessful & cried herself to sleep around 10 pm. Mommy was awakened shortly after 2 am by little ol' me because I had gone to bed too early & was up (or so mommy thought). She went into my room to discover my bed, clothes & stuffed animals were soaked. After mommy stripped everything she discovered I was still wearing the same diaper that was put on me before leaving Walter Reed earlier in the day. Mommy was so angry that daddy didn't bother to change my diaper or put me in pjs before putting me to bed, but she still didn't wake daddy up to give him a piece of her mind because he had PT at 5 am.

When mommy & I got up this morning we came downstairs to find daddy's smelly workout clothes & trash from his breakfast all over the living room. Mommy was sooo not happy. So that brings us to the current time frame. Mommy now needs to finish trying to clean the house before my babysitter gets here at 5 pm. Mommy & daddy are supposed to go to a show tonight, but mommy really doesn't want to go anywhere with daddy right now because she is so frustrated. We will see what happens...

**Please keep in mind that you are reading mommy's side of the story & mommy's frustrations. Like every other story in the world there are 3 sides, mommy's side, daddy's side, & the truth. Mommy has been trying very hard to keep a positive outlook on things but alas she is only human & gets sad, hurt, angry, frustrated, & pissy.**
