Late Breaking News

We interrupt this program for an urgent update. This is an SBRB special report.

Robert:
"Good morning everyone. This is Robert B with a special update. There is an war going on in our world that so few dare to speak of. It takes & takes from our nations strongest only to spit out the tired & weak. We will take you now to our on site reporter, Sparky B. Are you with us Sparky? What can you tell us from the front lines?"

Sparky: "Thanks Robert. I am Sparky B. reporting live from a quiet little neighborhood in Fort Meade, MD. In this normal looking house an unspeakable war has been going on. Many have fought in this battle at other households trying to win a war that seems to be unstoppable & out of control. It is shocking to think how many people have been on the front lines & refuse to speak of it. My guess is that the trauma of battle is what keeps these veterans silent."

Robert: "Sparky, is there any information on the number of casualties?"

Sparky: "Unfortunately the numbers are too big to give an exact 'body' count. What we can tell you is a woman in this house refuses to give up. She fights & fights every week only to see her efforts countered by the horrid laundry monster. This spirited fighter stands alone & stares the beast down with her Whirlpool washer & dryer. We had a chance to get a brief comment from this courages mom."

Mommy: Ok boys, you are in the way. I need to finish sorting & folding laundry.

Sparky: *whining* Moooomm can't you just play along for a minute & give us a quote.

Robert:
*whining* PPllleeeeeaasee Maamma

Mommy:
Fine, but after that you need to go play in your room. "The key to survival in this war is to not focus on the loses. Battles are won & lost every day. The important thing to remember is even if you lose the battle it doesn't mean you have lost the war. Give it your all & no matter what you will be a winner."

Sparky: "There you have it, Robert. Strong & powerful words from a laundry combat veteran. We hope her words will give strength to the millions of others fighting this battle silently in their own homes."

Robert: "Thank you Sparky. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program."

Thanks, but I am going to have to pass. I think since we live so close we may be fight parts of the same battalion. LOL!

Spike says he feels your pain Sparky. My mom is always shooing me off the clothes pile after I have spent my time making a great nest. By the way, Mom wanted me to tell you that she grew up in Maryland and is a Rockville High graduate. She also says Happy Veterans Day!
