Robert: Today was an awesome day. This morning my parents worked together on making our dishes for the family gathering. This greatly reduced the stress & time involved. After my morning nap it was time to get ready for our adventure. We took a nice drive through the country side to get to Kim & Matt's house in Carrol County. Once we arrived I became the star of the gathering. Everyone wanted to hold me, play with me, or just talk to me. I loved all of the attention. Kim already had her tree up so mommy got some cute pictures of me with the Christmas tree. When it came time to tear up the fabulous spread of food everyone joined together for a nice prayer before chowing down. Let me just say this we had a plethora of amazing food. I got to try so much yummy stuff that I didn't even make it to the dessert table. Mommy always tells me that I am her silly guy but I think I became everyone's silly guy today. As I scarfed down all of the yummy stuff people would stop & watch me eat. Sometimes I did something that amused them so they would laugh. I really don't mind it but I need to sit down with mommy to have a little heart to heart. If I am going to be the entertainment I think I should get some sort of additional compensation. You know something like being able to search the cool new surroundings without people pulling me away from things. Heck I'd be happy with being left alone with that Christmas tree for 5 minutes. It had the coolest stuff. Did you know people put shinny strings all over the branches plus lights? Don't even get me started on all of the cool little toys just dangling on the branches that I was so eager to touch yet not allowed. I don't get it... I'm a baby. We are the ones that are supposed to play with the toys not the grown ups, but I digress. We hung out with everyone for a little bit after the meal, but I started to get cranky. Mommy said it was a combination of me being overstimulated & in need of a nap. I say it is because no one would let me do what I wanted. As we said our goodbyes mommy gathered up leftovers to take home with us.
Once we arrived at our house I got to see Sparky. He was very excited to see us especially mommy carrying in the leftovers. While I went upstairs to have a nap mommy started putting away leftovers. Sparky got his thanksgiving dinner as mommy switched out the food from big containers to smaller containers. Mommy let him lick all of the dirty pans clean so he was in heaven. Now don't worry mommy didn't give my puppers anything that would hurt him. Sparky was definitely satisfied after his "meal" & joined the rest of us for nap time. My family rounded out our evening by watching some tv together & playing with Sparky & I. Like I said it was an awesome day!

My girl likes to lick the serving dishes too! Glad someone else does this. :) Happy Thanksgiving!
