Puppy Withdraw

Robert: Sparky has been very sad. The weekends tend to be hard on my puppy. Since daddy likes to relax when he is taking care of us & mommy is working Sparky isn't able to get a lot of play time. This doesn't mean that daddy doesn't love us. Mommy says it is because mommy's & daddy's do things differently & because daddy has a very stressful job. Every time mommy leaves to go to work she tells Sparky & I to be good for daddy. Mommy knows we will do our best to follow her request, but it's still hard for my puppers. As you know he is part Jack Russell Terrier which basically means he has LOTS of energy. The other problem is that I have been sick so I haven't been up to playing with Sparky either. I know he understand this but I still feel a little guilty.

Anyway mommy has been helping out friends, Ms. Ki & Mr. Jeff, for the past week. Mr. Jeff is on an assignment in Vegas right now... No, I don't know if he is doing anything like the game Rainbow Six Vegas. Well to make a long story short Ms. Ki is 6 months pregnant & they have 3 dogs. Mommy has been taking 2 of them, Lily (small & black) & Olea (big & fluffy), to play with Sparky for a little bit each day. Their 3rd dog Lucy is very shy & doesn't like Sparky. Once the weekend rolled around mommy wasn't able to do this because of work & daddy doesn't have the patience to do it in her absence. Sparky spend a great deal of time this weekend depressed because he didn't have other puppies to play with. Keep in mind this past week Sparky has been living the high life. He had a couple of play dates with Ginger in her yard as well as several romps around the house with Lily & Olea. For those of you that do not have a dog the easiest way to explain puppy depression is he laid around sulking & misbehaved. Dogs tend to act out just like spoiled children when they have too much energy built up & no outlet for it. Of course it drives daddy crazy & Sparky spends the evening when mommy gets home begging to do anything. Sparky, please know that I am tired of being sick & I hope to be better soon so we can resume our games of tug & fetch :-)
