The Mystery Package

Sparky: Today was quite an interesting day. Mommy decided to clean while Robert was taking a morning nap. Since mommy was cleaning floors that meant Tiger & I had to get locked up. Right as mommy is getting ready to start sweeping the doorbell rang. Mommy's heart dropped. You see when a loved one is deployed random & unexpected knocks at the door are a scary thing. As mommy walked to the door she was hoping it was some kid trying to sell something for a fundraiser not an officer coming to tell mommy that daddy was not coming home & had become a war statistic. Thankfully mommy was wrong on both accounts. It was our mailman. He was coming to let mommy know that UPS had left a package on our old doorstep one day last week. The mailman apologized to mommy because he was not able to take the package & bring it to our new house. He did write our new address on the package. He told mommy he wasn't sure if it was still there but at least this way mommy could drive by & see. Mommy thanked him & went inside to call Ms. Delania. Since Mr. Jason was heading out to the store he agreed to drive by & get the package if it was still there. Unfortunately it was gone. We don't know if UPS picked it up to return to sender or if it was taken by someone since it was left at an empty house. This also raises the question of who would have sent something to an address we haven't lived at for 6 months? Mommy was pretty sure that everyone had our new address. Either way we figured it was best to post something here. If you sent us something then you might want to check with UPS. If they do not have the package then you should probably file a claim. I would also suggest contacting mommy to get the new address if you don't already have it. Mommy will also check with daddy in case he ordered something that has been back ordered for awhile.
