Tiger: Sunday was a crazy day in our house. Mommy woke up super excited at 5 something am. Sparky & I gave her a crazy look then rolled back over. I tell you I think she went a little crazy. Once mommy was up. She was on a mission to get every thing nice & clean for daddy's return. She cleaned out the car, did the dishes, scrubbed the bathroom, scrubbed the kitchen & all of the counters, swept & vacuumed all of the floors plus made breakfast for Bobby when he got up. She managed to do all of this before 10:30 am... like I said a little crazy.
By the time Ms. Rachel got here everything was sparkling, Bobby's clothes for the airport were laid out & mommy was ready to go to work. Mommy went into work for a few hours & got tons of comments about how she was glowing & smiling like a Cheshire cat. Mommy made it through her few hours then rushed outside to meet Ms. Rachel. Ms. Rachel was super cool & got Bobby ready to meet daddy at the airport then brought him to mommy's work.
Daddy's plane landed an hour early but it was a good thing. He didn't finish with customs until after mommy had arrived, parked & got to the baggage area. Robert searched & searched for our daddy then he gave up & decided to climb onto the luggage turn style. It was at this moment that daddy appeared. Mommy says it was magical. My brother lit up like a Christmas tree as soon as he saw daddy. Bobby proceeded to tell daddy about everything that he missed. Daddy was amazed at what a chatterbox he has become. A very exhausted daddy let mommy drive home & just tried to unwind on the long drive back.
Once he got home Daddy gave Sparky & I lots of love & we showed him how much he was missed. Once all of the excitement died down daddy started complaining about a headache & some body aches. He asked mommy to work on him. Neither of my parents thought much about it & figured it was from all of the traveling. Daddy went to bed super early (welll for us anyway) since he was still on Iraq time which is 8 hours ahead of us. Mommy noticed when she went to bed that daddy felt feverish & was sweating really bad. Our poor daddy woke up around 2 am feeling even worse than when he went to sleep.
The next morning mommy & Bobby headed off to Bethesda for 1 of mommy's Dr. appts. They were having a few weird issues with the car so mommy called daddy. He informed mommy that he was feeling even worse & was headed down to Bethesda as well for sick call. My family met up & daddy took Bobby while mommy finished up with her stuff. Since it was so close to my brother's nap time mommy left before daddy was seen. He called mommy after he saw the doctor & informed mommy he was given a swine flu diagnosis & had to turn in paperwork stating he is restricted to quarters through Monday. Mommy was shocked.
When daddy got home he filled mommy in on all of the details. The doctor said it may be from jet lag & exhaustion but it would be best for daddy to rest & treat this like it is the swine flu. Apparently they don't want to take any chances of daddy infecting others. Now that we are another 24 hours in daddy is feeling worse. It may be a good thing we are restricted to our house since daddy is starting to show a lot more symptoms. As a result we will have a small Thanksgiving at our house & skip the family gatherings this time around. Mommy is a little sad about it but we would rather play it safe & keep everyone here instead of risking Mommy &/or Bobby carrying the germs to everyone else.
